Julia Hunt

Julia Hunt is experienced marketer and project manager with over 15 years’ experience in Tourism Industry.

Julia has started her career in Tourism joining local information centre in Christchurch and has quickly progressed in her career to leadership positions with Christchurch& Canterbury Tourism and ChristchurchNZ.

Julia has been instrumental in rebuilding Christchurch & Canterbury brand post 2011 Earthquakes on the global stage. She developed strategies and marketing campaigns that regained Christchurch’s position as key destination with travel industry in key markets. She’s been able to success through insights driven approach to strategy development, strong relationships building with the key trade partners in offshore markets and compelling content campaigns.

Julia has built  strong relationships with trade in New Zealand and offshore and has in depth understanding on how to take  Tourism Products  to international markets. 

During Covid – 19 Pandemic Julia developed and executed strategic capability building programme supporting over 300 operators in Canterbury through various capability and mentoring programmes.

As New Zealand opens to the world, Julia’s expert skillset in sales and marketing is creating opportunities for operators to get their Tourism products to offshore markets at this critical time. Julia guides operators on their international marketing journey by supporting their ambition to get trade ready.
